平西社区是汕头市金平区石炮台街道下辖的社区，因平西街经过辖区而得名，居委会设在龙厦路与金府旁路交叉口西80米处。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2001年以前是龙厦街道的平北居委会，2001年12月区域调整，并入石炮台街道，称平西居委会，沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

面积0.15平方千米，北为金砂中路，南为长平路，西抵金新南路，东抵金府旁路和平西三街，下设17个居民小组，主要干道为龙厦路。[1]
