长平社区是汕头市金平区石炮台街道下辖的社区，因长平路穿过辖区而得名，居委会设在兴原里四巷5号。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1982年，从原金砂区陵海街道的中山路尾居委会分出，设立长平居委会；1991年属金园区陵海街道。2002年1月调整居委设置，2003年3月区划调整后属金平区石炮台街道。[1]

地理环境[edit]

面积0.13平方千米，北以长平路为界，南临中山中路，东侧是金新南路，西侧到孔庙后直巷，下设14个居民小组，主要干道有中山路、长平路和金新南路。[1]
