中平社区是汕头市金平区石炮台街道下辖的社区，因辖区内有中平街得名，居委会设在中山中路与三让一横交叉口西北40米处。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地此前隶属金园区陵海街道。2002年1月调整居委设置，原中平居委与三让居委的一部分合为现在的中平居委会，2003年3月后归石炮台街道。[1]

地理环境[edit]

辖区东至中平街口，西到汕樟路，南至外马路，北至长平路，面积0.53平方千米，下设5个居民小组，主要干道为中山路。[1]

人口民族[edit]

经济[edit]

单位包括汕头市第一中学、鮀滨职业技术学校、妇幼保健院，以及建筑工程总公司、水利水电勘察设计院。[1]
