如龙社区属汕头市龙湖区龙祥街道，在嵩山路与汕汾路交会处，靠近城乡接合部，前身是官埭尾村[1]。

名称与沿革[edit]

社区名由纪经如、纪喜龙两位烈士的名字各取一字而成[1]。官埭尾在土地革命战争年代曾建过苏维埃政权[4]。元末明初归揭阳县蓬洲都管，嘉靖四十二年（1563年）转入澄海县；1959年起归下蓬、官埭公社的官一大队；1986年12月为下蓬镇官一村；1996年10月设如龙居委会，归龙祥街道[3]。

人口经济[edit]

社区面积约1.5平方千米，据概况有803户、3605人，集体收入以出租少量留用地和厂房为主，每年约250万元，开支110万至120万元[2]。社区实行垃圾袋装化，设垃圾临时堆放点20个[2]。
