名称由来[edit]

传说这里一大片塭田（养殖的滩涂）属澄海一位周姓财主所有，故名周厝塭[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

2002年以前，周厝塭居委属龙津街道；2002年1月随龙津街道并入龙祥街道[3]。

人口经济[edit]

据社区概况，用地109.3公顷，设14个居民小组，共2487户、7244人，其中农业人口5620人，党员159名。集体收入以出租土地为主，居民多外出务工或从事种养[2]。
