泰龙社区属汕头市龙湖区龙祥街道，在泰山路与汕汾路交会处一带，位置靠近城乡接合部，前身是官埭头村[1]。

名称与沿革[edit]

名称由泰山路的“泰”字，加上官埭古称扶龙乡的“龙”字合成[1]。1991年11月，这里是汕头市龙湖区下蓬镇官一乡的官埭头村；1996年11月起属龙祥街道泰龙社区居委会[1][2]。

人口经济[edit]

社区面积约32公顷，据社区概况有490户、2340人。收入主要靠出租少量集体留用地和集体厂房，每年约98万元，开支约100万至110万元[2]。

文化[edit]

社区组织了300多人的锣鼓乐队与彩旗队，在官一片区先后办过2008、2009、2010年春节的官一乡锣鼓队文艺演出，延续潮汕大锣鼓这项民间艺术[2]。社区还拆掉中心的废弃仓库，建成文化广场，并修了约1.2公里的水泥路与排水沟，缓解了住宅区长年积水[2]。
