龙祥街道是广东省汕头市龙湖区下辖的街道，位于汕头市区东北部，是城区与农村相接的地带，辖区面积9.66平方千米[1][3]。四至为：东靠新津河，西临乐山路，北依汕樟路，南邻黄河路[1][4]。街道前身是下蓬镇的官埭一带，1996年12月设立，2002年初并入原龙津街道，现辖9个社区[1][5]。街道内有汕头市文物保护单位官埭纪氏大宗祠[6]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的沿革，这片土地在两千多年前潮汕海岸“汉代滨线”变迁时已成沙洲。北宋宣和三年（1121年）以前属潮州府海阳县延德乡蓬洲都，复置揭阳县后改属揭阳县；元代至正年间属揭阳县蓬洲都官埭里，当时称扶龙寨；明嘉靖四十二年（1563年）设澄海县，改归澄海县[5]。

民国时期，这里先后属澄海县下蓬区、第八区、第三区；1946年属官埭镇级乡，辖十八个村，俗称官埭十八乡[5]。1949年10月后属澄海县下蓬区。1958年起历经红光公社、下蓬公社、官埭公社的更迭，1959年定名官一大队，下设官埭头、官埭尾、洋边、新乡4个联队；1987年1月划入汕头市郊区下蓬镇，1991年11月属龙湖区下蓬镇[5]。

1996年12月，原官一管理区所辖的官埭头、官埭尾、洋边、新乡四个自然村，连同下蓬镇政府的小区，一并划出设街道。官埭一带原称官埭乡，又叫扶龙乡，当地人自称“龙乡”，街道名取“龙乡”与“龙祥”读音相近而来[5]。2002年1月，辖周厝塭、夏桂埔、衡山居委的龙津街道并入龙祥街道[5]。维基百科把这次并入记在2001年[2]；汕头市政府批复龙湖区调整街道设置的时间是2001年12月，两种写法相距不远，应是同一次调整的不同记法。

辖区下辖社区的数目前后不同：维基百科记有8个，其中6个带农村性质（周厝塭、夏桂埔、洋滨、如龙、泰龙、新兴），2个属城区（衡山、祥和）[2]；到2020年6月，百度百科记为9个，多出的是龙腾社区[1]。

街道在龙湖区的东北部[4]，面积9.66平方千米，西以乐山路、南以黄河路为界[1][4]。气候属亚热带季风气候[1]。

人口民族[edit]

街道概况给出的数字是：全部人口约4.2万，常住的有2.6万，其余为外来人口[4]。百度百科引2011年的户籍人口，约4.5万人[1]。2020年第七次全国人口普查，街道人口5.64万人，在龙湖区的街道里排第4[3]。

经济[edit]

街道概况提到，辖区建有龙盛、龙新两个工业园区，分别占地1000亩和700亩，另有村、居自己办的一批园区。支柱行业是日化，其次为机械、纺织服装与包装印刷；日化的年产值约10亿元，占辖区工业总产值的26%，街道因此获广东省科技厅批准为日化制造业专业镇（街道）[4]。该文以2009年为准：企业750家，工业总产值为42.18亿元，农业总产值0.6725亿元，社会消费品零售额4.3亿元，入库税收3.38亿元[4]。

百度百科记的是2011年的情况：农业总产值约0.87亿元，工业总产值61.27亿元，累计税收6.097亿元[1]。

文化[edit]

街道设有省二级文化站1所，组建了社区锣鼓队和管弦队，使一度快要失传的民间艺术得以延续[4]。官埭一带的春节锣鼓表演，是潮汕大锣鼓的一支[7]。官埭的纪姓族人聚居历史久远：关于族人迁来创乡，有元代至正年间五世祖纪辛六带族人迁入，与明代正德年间九世祖纪宽洪带子孙迁来两种说法；这里后来成为潮汕规模最大的纪姓聚居地。官埭尾在第二次国内革命战争时期还建立过苏维埃政权，称“官埭尾苏维埃”[7]。当地沙质土壤曾培育番石榴，清代种植最盛[7]。

名胜古迹[edit]

官埭纪氏大宗祠位于洋滨社区北门街口，建于清代，类别为古建筑；汕头市于2014年10月10日将其公布为市级文物保护单位[6]。官埭的国王古庙经多次重修，留有清代的文物，每逢农历正月十二都有迎神祭拜[7][7]。
