新生社区在龙岗街道东北部，面积7.3平方千米，是由村改成的社区，原有低山、仙人岭、田祖上、车村4个居民小组。[1][2] 辖区内共有约5.3万人，其中户籍人口1.4万人，原籍居民2374人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新生社区居委会2004年成立，是龙岗区试行「撤村改居」时第一个挂牌的居委会。[1] 社区党组织1994年起为党总支，2011年改为综合党委，2016年改称社区党委。[1] 2016年，社区实行政企社企分开，社区党委、工作站与新生股份合作公司在班子、人员、财务和资产上完成分离，当年8月完成试点。[1]

社会治理与荣誉[edit]

社区党委下设党支部11个，党员182人。[1] 社区工作站有专职工作者19人、聘员67人，划分45个网格，管理出租屋4027栋、47551套，辖区有学校和幼儿园12家。[1] 据官方介绍，社区获得过「广东省文明村」「广东省生态示范村」「全国青年文明社区」「全国敬老模范社区」等荣誉。[1]
