中心社区位于深圳市龙岗区坪地街道的核心区域，面积11.9平方千米，下辖11个居民小组，包括岳湖岗、白石塘、山塘尾、梨园，以及寿利、江子背、河背、黄竹、上輋、富乐、石灰围。[1] 因地处原坪地镇的中心地段而得名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

岳湖岗是清嘉庆中期设墟之处。[3] 博雅地名网记载，中心社区历来属宝安县辖区。[4]

人口与经济[edit]

龙岗区政府网站称社区户籍人口7227人，总人口72871人，辖区有工矿企业650家。龙岗大道旁建有两处购物中心，街道内规模最大的肉菜批发市场也在社区内。[1]
