大王山社区在沙井街道最南端，与福永街道塘尾社区相邻，占地约1.5平方公里，因社区内有名为大王宫的小山丘而得名。[1]
沿革[edit]
新中国成立前属宝安县，成立后曾叫过大王山大队、大王山村民委员会。1993年1月改称沙井大王山村委会，到2004年7月，因城市化改制而改设社区居民委员会。2022年8月名列第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区。[1]

介绍所载，社区有常住居民129户333人，劳务工约3万多人，辖区内有沙井人民医院、幼儿园、中英文学校等机构，产业上集商业、休闲和工业园区于一体。[1]
