翠竹社区在深圳市罗湖区翠竹街道，因辖区内有翠竹苑而得名，由原翠竹、翠华、东湖三个居委会合并而成。[1]

博雅地名网称社区成立于1983年11月，城市基层管理体制改革后，由翠竹、翠华、东湖三个居委会并为一个；2002年成立社区居委会，沿用翠竹之名。[1]

社区东到爱国路，南到华丽路，西到翠竹路，北到翠竹公园，以翠竹路食街为轴线，面积75.1万平方米，以住宅和商用为主。[1]
