葛坪村在南雄市澜河镇南部，紧挨全安镇和百顺镇，北面是澜河村，与澜河圩相距4公里。[1]村内塔下自然村有宋代的葛坪塔，是第十批广东省文物保护单位；2020年，葛坪村又以仙草入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年称葛坪农会，1954年改初级社，1956年改高级社，1961年成为葛坪大队，1983年设葛坪乡，1988年改称管理区，1998年12月撤销管理区、改设葛坪村委会，沿用至今。[1]村名的由来：此地有一块平整开阔的土地，长着葛藤，便叫「葛坪」。[1]
地理与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，全村总面积48037亩，其中山林39591亩、毛竹13664亩、水稻1757亩，森林覆盖率75%；设8个村小组，总人口2369人，是澜河镇下辖村中人口最多的一个。村民收入主要来自养猪、种毛竹和杉木以及外出务工；农作物以花生、优质稻和蔬菜为主。[1]
荣誉方面：广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，葛坪村凭仙草入选；2024年3月，被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
葛坪塔，又称国坪塔、风景塔，为宋代所建的六角形砖塔，楼阁式，共五层；后来塔身严重损坏，顶层和塔刹都已不存。南雄市于1997年将其定为市级文物保护单位，2017年由市政府整体修缮，重建顶层并加葫芦形塔刹，通高17米。2022年7月，它被公布为第十批广东省文物保护单位。[2]博雅地名网另记有一则传说：仙人曾用扁担挑着两座塔，其中一座落在大夏，「文革」时被炸毁。[3]
