太和村是广东省韶关市南雄市湖口镇所辖的行政村，村委会在镇政府以西约1公里，与承平、湖口等村相邻。[1]罗佛寨古生物化石地层位于村内。[2]2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年称太和公所，1953年改设太和乡，1954年冬改初级社，1956年春改高级社；1958年冬改农场，1960年冬分为太和、老圩两个大队，1963年春合并为太和大队；1983年改乡，1988年改管理区，1998年撤区设村委会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据村情资料（未注明年份），全村501户2017人，辖区面积8768.5亩，耕地4429亩，下设10个村小组，黄烟田1580亩，另种水稻1970亩和花生550亩，村集体年收入1.81万元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

罗佛寨距城区约5公里，主要地层罗佛寨组距今约5000万年，出土阶齿兽、湖口龟、罗佛寨兽等化石，是「广东南雄恐龙化石群省级自然保护区」的保护二区，面积约17.91平方千米。据传山顶曾有寨庙，相传“芦佛仙人”居此，故名；当地自明代起封山育林。[2]
