西区社区隶属新丰县丰城街道，位于县城中心区，名称来自丰城镇西区行政社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

西区原是丰城镇的西区行政社区。明清时期它属长宁县的长宁城，民国时归新丰县第一区，新中国成立后同属第一区；1982年归丰郊公社，1986年归新丰县丰城镇，2002年定名西区行政社区，沿用至今。[1]
