窝子村在沙溪镇区东北部，路程约12公里，通行方便。[1]境内群山环抱，山与山之间有许多山窝，村名即由此而来。[1]共10个村民小组，如上楼、下楼、丘屋、刘屋、卢屋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

人民公社时期，窝子为沙溪公社下的窝子大队（1961年3月）。撤社建乡在1983年11月，1986年12月定名窝子村委会；其间曾有一段叫窝子管理区（自1989年），1998年12月再改回村委会，沿用至今。[1]

人口与经济[edit]
