东河街道是广东省韶关市浈江区下辖的街道，在浈江区东部、浈江东岸，西临浈江，东面以韶枫路与新韶镇为邻，北接新韶镇黄金村，南到韶关火车站南韶路口一带。[1][2] 辖区面积4.2平方千米，下设6个社区；名称取自驻地东河坝。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

街道设立之前，这片地方先后归曲江县和韶关市管辖。民国十七年划入曲江县第二区，民国三十年改归第一区的东厢乡。[2] 1949年11月韶关市人民政府成立，辖地划归韶关市。[2]

街道办事处1952年首次设立，四年后撤并到太平街道办事处；1969年11月又单设东河区街道委员会。[2] 1975年11月，东河区与南郊区合并为浈江区；2004年起东河街道属浈江区。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

街道在浈江东岸的东河坝一带。据百度百科，辖区东靠新韶镇与韶枫路，南近韶关火车站，西临浈江，北依新韶镇黄金村。[1] 博雅地名网称京九线、赣韶铁路和323国道从辖区穿过，启明路、浈江路等主干道也在辖区内。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

据百度百科，2020年末常住人口28029人；2015年有较大型商店商场7家，2019年固定资产投资项目8个，计划投入1.8983亿元，实际完成1.2亿元。[1] 博雅地名网引述街道办事处的介绍：另称常住25292人、户籍26781人，2022年地区生产总值为12.72亿元。[2] 两处人口数字所指年份不同，并列于此。

下辖社区[edit]

街道办事处是浈江区政府的派出机构，下辖浈江南社区、育红巷社区、执信路社区、启明北路社区、浈江路社区、陵西路社区。多数社区以居委会所在的路巷命名。[2]

著名人物[edit]

刘福（1890年—1932年），韶关东河坝人，少年读过三年私塾，十二岁起上山打柴割草补贴家用；1925年春他与同伴发起成立了东河坝农会。[2]
