人口与民族[edit]
全村78户，353人，分吓水、榕树窿、通坑3个自然合作社，村域面积2.74平方千米。[1][2]百度百科记载，畲族先祖约在明朝中叶从湖南迁入，村里保存有明代《畲族祖图》和盘瓠王的传说，村民通用畲语、客家话、粤语和汉字。[2]
文化与景观[edit]
村里建有畲族民俗馆；畲寨沟瀑布群和桫椤是主要的自然景观。拜祖公图等6个项目入选省级、区级非物质文化遗产名录。[2]
经济[edit]
村里以山区农业为主，耕地227亩，山地6200亩，种荔枝、龙眼、枇杷、青梅、沙糖桔等，并酿制畲族米酒；“畲族枇杷”2020年8月列入「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单。[1][2]外出务工和种养业是村民的主要收入。[1]

荣誉[edit]
2017年3月被国家民委命名为「第二批中国少数民族特色村寨」，同年12月命名为「第五批全国民族团结进步创建示范区」；2019年12月列入「第二批国家森林乡村」名单；2023年4月列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位，同年8月获「2022年度“广州市美丽乡村”」称号。[1]
