铁山村是广州市花都区花山镇下辖的行政村，位于镇中部，在旧花县县城东北约12千米。[1] 村原名莲湖村；相传唐末有陈姓人家从南雄珠玑巷迁来建村，村前有口大莲藕塘，后来村民在东面的飞鼠岭（今东头岭）找到铁矿石，改名铁山。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域约3.33平方千米，东邻南村，南接永明村，西靠五星村，北为儒林村。水域约38.67公顷，占村域11.62%，多为西侧铁山河一带和铁山一队周边的鱼塘。[1]

经济[edit]

村分20个经济社，2009年末总人口2842人，当时没有村办企业：村民或在村里种作物、水果、蔬菜，兼养禽畜，或外出务工。[1]

花都香草世界坐落在铁山村内，占地700余亩，引种香草300余种，设有薰衣草、玫瑰等主题园区，兼营观光与科普。[1][2] 2021年9月，铁山村进入第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（休闲农业）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

铁一、铁二两个高级农业社设于1956年，两年后转为大队，1960年合并，取名铁山大队；1983年改为铁山乡。村民委员会设于1987年1月，起初归花山区公所，3月转归花山镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

铁山村在2019年9月上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2023年8月获「2022年度“广州市美丽乡村”」称号；2024年11月被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
