历史沿革[edit]
村名由人民公社化时期珠坑、云桥头、白沙堡三村合并而来，取「云聚星光、冲锋向前」之意。1956年组建农业生产合作社时，三村合为一个高级社，叫云星高级农业生产合作社；1958年改称云星大队，汀沙于1962年并入；1984年改称云星乡，1987年起由村民委员会管理[1]。
地理环境[edit]
村域由迎宾路、白沙路、白云路、桥兴大道、富华路、大北路和东环路围合，面积约0.75平方千米[2]。
人口民族[edit]
本地居民2094人，另有约8000名外来人员（博雅地名网所载，未注明年份）[2]。
经济[edit]
村经济以出租物业为主，发展旅业、酒家和批发市场，并在迎宾路建有二手汽车市场[2]。村里配有4处老人活动中心、4间文化阅览室和2个公园，并投入200多万元改造旧街巷[2]。
2023年4月公布的广东省2022年度乡村治理示范村创建单位名单中有云星村；2026年1月，它又获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
