社区建于2002年，涵盖鸿成花园、新城区、侨联、银苑大厦等住宅区以及分散的居民住宅[2]。曾获番禺区计生工作五好居委、市桥街文明社区等称号[2]。
地理环境[edit]
社区东起星海公园，南至环城中路，西起大北路，北至富华中路和关边路一带，占地约30.6万平方米[2]。
