玉树社区是广州市黄埔区联和街道下辖的社区，由玉树村转制而来。[1][2]当地一说，村名与河涌和树木有关：村西有一条发源于白云区、流经黄陂并在文冲注入珠江的大水坑，村东则有几棵高大的秋枫。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

玉树村的隶属变动频繁：1949年属番禺县，随后分属黄埔区、郊区黄村乡和东圃人民公社；1964年交给郊区知青农场，1969年划入越秀区，1971年归新塘农工商联合公司。进入新世纪，它在2000年9月转属天河区东圃镇，2002年底东圃镇改设街道，村子也随之留在天河区。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

街道早期的概况写道，玉树社区面积2.6平方千米，居民1000多人，下设3个经济社，并有一个玉树经济联合社。[2]

荣誉[edit]

玉树社区在2021年11月被广州市住房和城乡建设局定为「广州市2021年绿色社区」，2024年11月又认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」。区政府网站另称，它是全国文明单位，也是全国妇联的基层组织建设示范社区。[1][3]
