历史沿革[edit]
五十年代初，暹岗乡隶番禺县；萝岗人民公社在1958年成立后，这里先是公社下的一个营，随后改为生产大队。八十年代，它先改称暹岗乡（属广州郊区萝岗区），后改设暹岗村民委员会，划入白云区。村委会于2005年5月撤销，换成社区居委会，2014年又随区划调整划归黄埔区。[1]

相传旧时村旁有五座小山岗环抱，各岗都能望见日出，「暹」有日出之意，村因此得名。[1][2]

旧村改造[edit]
暹岗是广州市确定整体改造的52条城中村之一，改造项目约占地43万平方米，计划分三期实施。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
圣裔宗祠在暹岗中街72号，清代建筑，2002年7月公布为第六批广州市文物保护单位。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年11月，社区认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」。[1]
