怡港社区是黄埔街道辖下的城市社区，在黄埔东路之南、丰乐南路之西，紧邻黄埔公园，因怡港花园小区得名。[1]居委会成立于1999年，办公地点在黄埔东路188号大院。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

怡港社区居委会于1999年成立，名称沿用至今；“怡港”据介绍取小区临近黄埔港、建成令人心怡的花园式住宅之意。[1]

人口民族[edit]

小区规划住户3000户，占地约17.5万平方米，建筑面积约30万平方米。博雅地名网所载介绍（未注明年份）称，实际入住2290户，居民8000多人。[1]

文化[edit]

辖内有中山大学附属黄埔实验小学和幼儿园，小区建有健身室、图书阅览室、游泳池和球场等设施。[1]2021年11月，社区被广州市住房和城乡建设局确定为广州市2021年绿色社区；街道概况另载其获“全国青年文明社区”称号。[1][3]
