港前路社区位于黄埔区中心城区南部，临黄埔老港沿岸，是黄埔街道辖下的城市社区，居委会设在港前路港口二巷。[1][2]“港前路”一名，据介绍是因该路在黄埔港北侧，是离港口最近的一条路。[1]

2002年7月，社区由黄埔街第五居民委员会改组设立，沿用港前路之名至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

面积约0.3平方千米，东邻港湾路，西到荔香路，南靠港前路，北抵荔园小区；主要道路有港前路、海员路、港湾路和港湾西一街。[1]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网所载介绍（未注明年份）称，社区有常住居民1680户、4830人。[1]

经济[edit]

辖内包括黄埔边防检查站、广东省外运黄埔公司、远洋基地等单位的生活区，黄埔街道办事处也在社区范围内。[1]
