黄埔街道属广州市黄埔区，位于区内西部的中心城区，东邻文冲街道、红山街道，南隔珠江与长洲街道和番禺区相望，西接鱼珠街道，北与大沙街道交界，辖区面积7.39平方千米。[1][2]沿珠江有黄埔老港码头，港口与外贸是街道的主要产业。[1]街道下辖16个社区居委会，下沙社区是其中的转制社区。[1]2020年第七次全国人口普查的常住人口为92568人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年成立黄埔港街道办事处，到1960年易名港湾城市公社，1962年才称黄埔街道。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

街道以乌涌河为东界，南面到港前路边的黄埔老港码头，西面是荔香路，北面沿大沙地东、西两路。[1]官方介绍称辖内有3.5公里的珠江岸线，并有耕地72.27公顷、山林地19.8公顷。[1]

人口民族[edit]

街道官网称，常住人口合计6.977万人，由户籍人口5.85万人和流动人口2.69万人构成（页面未注明统计年份）。[1]普查数字与上述官网数字相差较大，应是统计口径不同。[2]辖内有中小学8所、医院6家。[1]

经济[edit]

街道因黄埔老港而形成港航服务和商贸两类集聚：以和安堡、东城国际、中外运大厦等楼宇为中心的港航服务群，以及沿大沙东路、港湾路、黄埔东路、丰乐路的商贸群。[1]辖内驻有广州港股份有限公司黄埔港务分公司等企业，以及中央、省、市、区各级机关企事业单位25家；登记的企业有1.55万家，规模以上的有365家。[1]

街道称黄埔老港的进口量占全国鱼粉进口量四成以上，辖区内的黄埔港鱼粉国际贸易创新园入驻企业30家，并设有鱼粉实验室工作站。[7]商业方面有大沙地商业街、中凯名店城、惠润广场等。[1][4]轨道交通方面，地铁5号线、7号线、13号线在辖内设站。[1][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

下沙社区境内有狮山炮台，清光绪十年（1884）建，现存巷道、巷门和炮池。[3]下沙吴氏大宗祠清咸丰六年（1856）落成，2003年依原样重修；下沙张氏大宗祠清咸丰三年（1853）始建，后经民国年间与2003年两次重修；下沙蒲氏宗祠列入第七批广州市文物保护单位（2008年12月公布）。[3]

16个社区中，除下沙社区由旧村改设外，其余多以辖内的住宅小区或道路得名，如港湾一村、港湾五村源自广州港务局兴建的职工生活区。[3][6]各社区居委会的办公地点和电话见街道官网。[6]
