桂花苑社区属广州市越秀区流花街道，居委会设在桂花岗东11号103，名称来自办公点所在的桂花苑小区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这个社区可追溯到1953年的解放北街第九居委会；1960年它一度叫西山人民公社桂花岗管理区，次年又改回。流花街道成立后，它是流花街的第二居委会，1999年叫桂花东，2002年7月起才叫桂花苑。[1]

2021年11月，它被广州市住房和城乡建设局确定为「广州市2021年绿色社区」；2024年11月又获认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」。[1]
