历史沿革[edit]
因居委会办公点在桂花岗，社区取名桂花岗。起初的组织是1954年的解放北街第九居委会；流花街道设立后拆成三个居委会，到1999年各自改叫桂花南、桂花东和桂花中。[2]三者在2002年合并，统称桂花岗居委会。[2]
社区概况[edit]
社区范围南至铁路边，东到广州大学桂花岗校区围墙，面积0.152平方千米。[1]据百度百科，社区的户籍居民为2011户，合计8069人；常住3261人，流动人口1005人。[1]区内的住宅多建于20世纪70年代，设施老化，街道为此做过微改造，如换楼道灯、添垃圾分类桶和晾衣架。[1]
社区在2021年被广州市住房和城乡建设局确定为「广州市2021年绿色社区」，又在2024年11月被认定为「2024年广州市高质量就业社区」。[2]
