东漖街道是广东省广州市荔湾区的街道，在区的中南部，原属芳村区，2001年12月设立。[1][2] 东边隔花地大道一线与冲口街道相邻，南接东沙街道，北靠茶滘街道，西面隔花地河与海龙、中南两街道相望。[1][2] 辖区内有地铁西塱站、坑口站，西塱站是广佛地铁的换乘点。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
街道成立于2001年12月28日，当时归芳村区；2005年芳村区并入荔湾区，东漖街道随之划归荔湾区。[1][2] 辖区内的西塱、东漖等地在南宋末年就已建村，1949年前属番禺县的崇文二十四乡，1990年前后先后设村民委员会，其后改制为居民委员会。[3][4][5]
街道名称取自地名东漖，「漖」是珠江三角洲对水道、堤围一类地方的叫法。[2]

百度百科记街道面积4.4平方千米，博雅地名网引街道概况则作4.6平方千米，两者口径不同，本条目的信息栏取后者。[1][2] 辖区东起花地大道，南到环翠北路，西临花地河，北达浣花东路。[2] 气候属亚热带季风气候。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2011年末户籍人口16401人。[1] 街道概况中的另一组数字是：常住人口约5.5万，其中户籍1.78万人、非户籍3.72万人。[2] 2020年第七次全国人口普查，街道人口约6.4万，在荔湾区各街道中居第9位。[2] 维基百科引用的另一数据为35889人。[6]

2011年，街道工业总产值8.72亿元，较上年增长1.2%；社会消费品零售总额5.87亿元，增长10.7%。[1] 辖区内的东漖、西塱和大花园三处经济股份联社是集体经济的组织形式。[2]
交通[edit]
街道紧邻芳村客运站，有通往珠三角和粤西的长途班车；地铁1号线在辖区内设西塱总站和坑口站，西塱站与广佛地铁接驳。[2] 1、70、74、812路公交车的总站也在街道内。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
黄世仲故居位于西塱一带，是砖木结构的岭南民居大院；上世纪90年代初其后人在原址改建成楼房，1999年5月又在西塱村建了黄世仲事迹陈列馆。[2]
著名人物[edit]
黄世仲（生于1872年）与其兄黄耀恭都出自西塱，两人早年一同到马来西亚、新加坡谋生。[2] 明代进士李辀（1490年—1545年），也是西塱人，嘉靖二年（1523年）中进士，曾任福建侯官知县。[2]
