历史沿革[edit]
村子建于南宋末年；解放前归番禺县二十四乡管辖；1990年设村委会，到2002年村改居，社名没有变。[1] 2015年，从社区辖区中划出一部分另设裕安居委会。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
西塱大桥村原有黄世仲故居，是一座砖木结构的岭南民居大院，1990年代初其后人在原址改建成楼房；1999年5月，村里另建了纪念他事迹的陈列馆。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，它列入广州市住建部门公布的当年绿色社区名单；2024年11月，入选该年度的充分就业社区名单。[1]
