昌华街道是广东省广州市荔湾区下辖的街道，位于区的中部偏北、珠江北岸，西面临江，隔水与桥中街道相对。[1][4] 面积1.62平方千米，下设6个社区；按第七次人口普查，2020年末常住35289人。[1][4] 街名取自传说中南汉国主所建的昌华苑，辖内有泮塘五约、仁威祖庙和西关大屋聚落等历史文化遗存。[3][5][6]

历史沿革[edit]

唐宋时期珠江泥沙堆积，今恩宁路、昌华大街一带渐渐成陆。五代十国时，南汉国主在这一带营建华林园、昌华苑等苑囿，遍植荔枝，荔熟时在昌华苑设「红云宴」；昌华大街之名即由昌华苑而来。[6] 到宋代，昌华大街一带是富商和望族聚居之地。[3]

1950年6月设荔湾街道，1961年改称昌华街道，隶属荔湾区。[1][5]

20世纪初，旧街巷扩为马路。1931年，十一甫、恩宁东路、恩宁钟巷等几段旧路连同恩宁市一并扩建，成为今天的恩宁路，长度1115米，东起宝华路，西北到多宝路与龙津西路相接；沿线随后建起骑楼。[6] 2014年恩宁路被列为「一类骑楼街」重点保护，其历史文化街区面积16.03公顷，南界到逢庆西约、土德二巷一带，西以昌华涌与昌华大街历史文化街区相邻。[6]

地理环境[edit]

街道东边挨着逢源街道和多宝街道，南面连多宝街道，北面是彩虹街道和南源街道，西临珠江。[4] 博雅地名网和维基百科另述为：东起龙津西路、恩宁路，南接蓬莱路，北至中山八路。[2][5] 广州地铁6号线、11号线的如意坊站在辖区内。[2]

人口民族[edit]

荔湾区政府2022年的一份公示载明，截至2020年底，街道户籍人口31475人，常住人口37284人。[4] 这与第七次人口普查的35289人并不相同，应是统计口径和时点有别。[1]

经济[edit]

2011年街道的工业总产值为616万元，较2010年增加11.4%；当年零售总额达12.65亿元，增幅16.2%。[1] 1997年起，昌华街社区服务中心先后办起老人康乐中心、家政服务中心、再就业服务站等设施。[5]

文化[edit]

仁威祖庙在龙津西路仁威庙前街，建于1052年，由附近村民集资修建，供奉真武帝（北帝），旧时是泮塘恩洲十八乡的主要庙宇；1983年定为市级文物保护单位，2002年升为省级。每年农历三月三的北帝诞，庙里会举办民俗活动。[7] 街道一带还有象牙雕刻、扒龙舟、西关水菱角制作技艺等被博雅地名网列入当地民俗的项目。[5]

名胜古迹[edit]

辖内保留着不少街巷肌理和建筑风貌较完整的西关民居。西关大屋是旧时广州西关一带的传统民居，多为砖木结构，青砖石脚，正门用花岗石镶嵌；西关大屋博物馆的旧址建于清末，布局为「三边过」，另有脚门、趟栊门、大门三重门面。[3] 此外有荔湾博物馆、泮溪酒家，以及保存清代村落格局的泮塘五约。[3][5]

荔枝湾涌属西关一带的水系，被列为「羊城八景」之一；20世纪四五十年代部分河道被填埋或改为暗渠，2009年起借迎亚运之机揭盖复涌，共揭盖2万多平方米。[8]

下辖社区[edit]

街道下设6个社区：西关大屋社区、泮塘社区、昌华苑社区、逢庆社区、如意坊社区和荔湖社区。[4] 维基百科另列涌边社区；据博雅地名网，涌边居委会已在2014年并入西关大屋社区。[2][9]
