历史沿革[edit]
社区由昌华街原第十、第十一居委会合并，2002年成立；2014年涌边居委会并入。[3]
昌华大街一带传说在南汉时期曾建行宫离苑，宋代是富商和望族聚居之地。[2] 社区自2004年起先后获评「文明社区」「无毒社区」以及省、市级「绿色社区」。[1]
地理环境[edit]
社区的绿地有28.06万平方米，绿化率为49.4%。[1]
文化[edit]
西关大屋是清末至民国初年西关的传统民居，平面狭长，便于穿堂风，门口设趟栊门和三重门扇。[1] 社区内保留着街巷肌理和建筑风貌较好的建筑群，有「活着的西关民居建筑博物馆」之称。[2]
经济[edit]
2023年社区请来「微管家」服务团队，搭起三级治理体系；2024年7月又办起「大榕树下」社区警校，百度百科称2025年的治安案件比上年少了54.5%。[1] 社区设有家庭综合服务中心，定期举办「邻里服务日」，提供义诊、义剪等服务。[1]
