东星村隶属福建省宁德市福鼎市太姥山镇，为一个行政村，是一座海岛村，位于镇东北方的海上，距集镇约14海里。[1][2]

村名来自海面上七座小岛排列如北斗、本岛居东的形势。1995年村民委员会建立。2021年11月，村获评2021年福建省卫生村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

海面上有七座小岛，排布似北斗之七星，本岛位于东侧，故称东星。[1]

自然地理[edit]

岛屿四面环海，海岸线曲折，周边海域的贝类和鱼类资源丰富。这里是七星列岛中唯一有居民的海岛。[1]

2006年台风“桑美”过后，岛上大部分民房受损，村民陆续迁居集镇周边。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村原属巨口大队下的七星分队，1976年后划归樟岐大队，1995年才有村级建制。[1]
