桂林村位于福安市穆云畲族乡的中心地带，是全乡最大的行政村。[1][3]

村名的来由是这样的：明代王九韶任湖广茶陵知州，从当地取回桂树，种成一片林子，村因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，村落的起源可上溯至宋代。村中王氏祠堂初建于明万历己酉年（1609年），后于清光绪二十二年（1896年）整体迁建，即今存规模。[2]

土改时此地设桂林乡。1961至1966年间归穆阳小公社所辖，1966年成立桂林大队，1984年起改设村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

王氏祠堂正门悬挂「开闽第一宗」门匾。2004年9月8日，福安市人民政府核定其为市级文物保护单位。[2]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予桂林村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
