岭尾村在甘棠镇西南，后倚蕉城区的吴山里地界，北面正对莲花山，距镇区约3.8公里，属畲汉杂居村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于大车村的岭尾，故名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期归甘棠区大车乡，1958年以岭尾为名设大队，1984年改为村民委员会。[4]

革命历史[edit]

本村属闽东老区。土地革命时期，村里设过红军伤兵医院，叶飞、曾志、阮英平等前辈都在此留下足迹。[2]

概况[edit]

村子下辖6个自然村，8个村民小组，现有214户784人，党员34人。全村耕地450亩，林地4654亩，森林覆盖率71.28%。村民以培育茶苗、种植茶叶和水果为主业，茶园三百余亩，茶苗约一百五十亩，另有柑橘类、枇杷与柚子等果树一百多亩。[2]

荣誉[edit]

本村于2024年1月获评「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
