鹤塘村位于鹤塘镇的镇区，是镇中心的行政村。村名的由来是一个传说：村中原有日、月两口池塘，相传常有鹤鸟飞落塘中，因而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年后，此地划入第七区。1958年归鹤塘公社，村中设鹤塘大队；1984年乡制恢复，改为鹤塘乡所辖的村委会，至今未变。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村头主街道上的鹤塘桥渠建于20世纪70年代，据称由村民出义务工，历时两年完成。桥渠全长118.8米，用378块条石铺成，两侧有54个石护栏，2019年11月公布为古田县文物保护单位。[2][3]
村内黄氏祠堂前立有「孝友无双」牌坊，为清代所建，列为福建省文物保护单位。[3]
