黄田是黄田镇的一个居委会，位于闽江中游北岸。库区搬迁之后，它的新村由黄田、竹园两个自然村的居民组成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时，黄姓居民在此处田洋边开垦荒地、建立村落，地名由此而来。[1]

1949年设黄田村，属第五区；1958年改属谷口公社，成立黄田大队；1970年归莪洋公社。1984年隶属莪洋镇，名称定为今名；1990年改属黄田镇，此后一直如此。[1]
