铁炉村是北壁乡下辖的行政村，位于霞浦县南端，东邻会洋村，南与东冲口相连，距霞浦县城96公里。[1][2]

全村244户，下辖15个自然村，散布于丘陵之间。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村后有一座山丘，形状像铁炉，村因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设铁炉生产大队，1984年改设铁炉村民委员会，生产大队随之更名为铁炉村。[1]

村风与历史[edit]

村庄历史上人口稀少，生计困难，所在地区属于闽东革命老区的一部分。改革开放以来，村民参加了全乡的集体劳动，并多次受到县、乡两级政府的表彰。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，该村列入2021年福建省卫生村名单。[1]
