北洋村是盐田畲族乡下辖的行政村，位于盐田村西北向的一片田洋上，故名。[1]

2021年6月，北洋村列入福建省第四批省级传统村落名单。2021年11月，被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

村中的飞路塔为明代所建，是四角形单层石塔，通高约3米。[1]
