下林村位于溪南镇南部，在九龙江上游的感化溪边。村名的来历是：早先由林氏开辟，因村地处溪南圩下方，故称下林。[1]

概况[edit]

全村总面积25500亩，其中林地16300亩（生态公益林7600亩），耕地759亩，毛竹2500亩。[1] 全村有7个自然村、9个村民小组，共428户、1566人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1934年初为九林保，隶属溪南（第三）区，中间经溪南联保、溪坂乡，后归溪南镇。[1] 1949年初属溪南镇的九林村。1950年代初属第五区溪南乡，随后析立为下林乡。1958年归溪南公社的溪南大队；1984年政社分开，改称下林村，隶溪南乡；1989年起属溪南镇。[1]

村内的「溪南下林仓库旧址南洲书院」为福建省文物保护单位，相关情况见溪南镇条目。[2]

  • 2023年1月，下林村获「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」的命名。[1]
