下村位于武平县中堡镇东南部，濒临汀江河，距中堡集镇14公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原与悦洋同属一片，后悦洋分作上、下两段，居下的一段便称下村，此后单独设村。[3]

1979年从悦洋大队分出，组建下村大队，归中堡公社；1984年设立下村村委会。[2]

2021年1月，下村获龙岩市授予2020年度「平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
