西洋村位于仙师镇北部，离镇政府约八公里，与九坑、书华、秀富等村相邻。[1]本村是革命老区，镇内烈士马永昌出生在村中的西洋坪，其生平见仙师镇条目。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

地名的由来：村落小而地势低洼，一逢下雨便泛滥如洋，故称西洋。[1]

此地先归大院乡西洋保，新中国成立后隶属金砂区西华乡。1958年3月撤区并乡，改称大金乡，公社化后成为大金公社西华大队。1979年3月，西华大队一分为二，另设书华大队；1984年改为西洋村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村中耕地780亩，山林6500余亩，果园3500多亩，果园以琯溪蜜柚、红心柚和脐橙为主。粮食作物有水稻，经济作物有烤烟、「六月红」早熟芋和木薯。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年10月，龙岩市农业农村局把西洋村认定为市级「一村一品」专业村，产品为蜜柚。2021年1月，村中被命名为2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。2025年5月，本村列入福建省美丽乡村示范村创建名单。[1]
