历史沿革[edit]
村子历史上曾称九坑乡，由九条溪坑和九个村庄组成，据自然地形取名。明代，有人从广东、上杭等地迁来定居，便以此得名。[1]
新中国成立前，此地隶属大院乡；之后不久归金砂区。1958年撤区并乡，并入仙师乡；公社化时设九坑大队，1984年才改为九坑村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村民从事水稻种植，也种烤烟和琯溪蜜柚，外出打工的劳动力占相当比例。[1]
