上西村是龙潭镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区西部，距镇政府1公里。村中有明代初年始建的上西西兴祠，近年以铁皮石斛、蝴蝶兰等特色种植为主要发展方向。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

清代此地称西坪、背头坪，后将原上龙与西坪两地合并，改名上西。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，此地归上丰乡管辖，原分为上龙与西坪两个保。新中国成立后，先设第四区上西乡，1957年撤区并乡，划归龙潭乡。1958年后隶属龙潭管理区，1962年另设龙潭公社上西大队，1965年又转入抚市公社。1984年抚市乡下设上西村委会；1992年划为抚市镇辖村；1993年回归龙潭乡建制，1997年撤乡设镇后，村委会名称未改。[1]

经济[edit]

2011年，农民人均纯收入为8580元。同年3月，村里依托一家厦门企业建立铁皮石斛基地，并以「公司+农户」的方式扩大种植。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

上西西兴祠位于村中，始建于明代初期，现存为清代建筑。祠堂朝东，门前为池塘与门埕，其后依次是大门、门厅、中厅与正厅。通面阔39米，总进深30米，占地1300平方米，为两进三落的廊院式建筑。[1]

文化[edit]

上西村获得的称号包括：2022年8月，被龙岩市农业农村局认定为「龙岩市2022年市级一村一品专业村（蝴蝶兰）」；2022年10月，被福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
