大和村隶属新罗区大池镇，是其中的一个行政村，村址位于山坑谷中的平地上。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名取其驻地大和坑之名。坑中古时建有一座古庙，称作大和庵，后以庵名作为村名，称大和坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年此地归大池乡大和保管辖；解放初划入大池区，设立大和村与大和乡。[1]

1957年撤区并乡，改为大池乡大和村。其后曾隶属大池公社与小池公社，并归大池管理区，直到1961年才单独建立大和大队，1984年设村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2021年1月，本村入选「平安村居（社区）」名单（龙岩市2020年度）。[1]
  • 2021年11月，本村获「2021年福建省卫生村」命名（福建省爱卫办）。[1]
  • 2023年1月，本村入选「平安村居（社区）」名单（龙岩市2022年度）。[1]
