四村的村名来自安前、梧背、安底、西坑源四个自然村，四村因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代隶属九龙乡万安里西坑社，清代为溪口社的辖地。民国初年归万安区管辖，之后成为松岗联保的一部分，分设梧背、梧寮两保。[1]

解放初称两梧村，1957年改属乡级管辖，1958年人民公社化后为两梧生产大队；1980年析为四村大队，1984年起归万安乡，设为村委会；1995年划归万安镇。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

村民650余人，耕地1265亩，山林1万多亩，据博雅地名网所载，未注统计年份。[1]

村民发展毛竹与养殖业，并经营风鸭、笋干、农家糯米酒等产业。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，获福建省卫生村称号（福建省爱卫办命名）。[1]
