北洋村位于镇域西南部，西临黄岗水库。村子连片的平地俗称「洋」，因在这片洋地的北部而得名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初隶黄岗乡，属黄岗村；1957年归附城区红坊乡。1958年划入黄岗生产大队，1961年独立为北洋大队，1965年又并回原大队。[1]

1981年恢复北洋大队，1984年改设北洋村委会。[1]

人口[edit]

2013年末，全村有372户、1220人。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

紫金山红色交通站太伯庙位于村北的蒙公山上，建于1929年，为宗教建筑，是当年红色交通站之一。2018年，它被公布为县级文物保护单位。[3]
