赤水村位于龙岩市区西部，距中心城区约12公里，是龙门街道的一个村。村名源于内小溪中涌出的赤色泉水。[1]

地理环境[edit]

609县道贯穿全村，村内有省级文物赤水天后宫。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代，村所在的聚落属龙门里湖洋湖邦社；清代与民国初年仍是湖邦社下的赤水聚落。1929年至1932年间为湖邦区苏维埃政府管辖下的赤水乡，1933年转为民国政府湖邦区的赤水乡，民国25年以后另设龙门联保，并分出麻畲、通德两保。[1]

解放后，村于1949年11月并入湖邦区，称赤水村。自1958年9月起，它随湖邦、小池、龙门公社的变动而变动，成为赤水生产大队；1984年后改设龙门镇赤水村村民委员会。[1]

2021年1月、2023年1月和2024年1月，村先后被命名为「2020年度」「2022年度」「2023年度」龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
