赤水社区即原赤水村，在武江区西联镇的西南部，北江岸边，东邻下胡村，西接甘棠、沐溪两村，北靠西联村，南隔北江与西河镇坝厂村相望。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1951年名为赤水乡，1958年更名为赤水大队，1983年更名为赤水乡政府，1987年名为赤水管理区，1998年更名赤水村村民委员会。[1] 2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
经济[edit]
村里户数252户，总人口634人；以种水稻、蔬菜和水运为生，沿江设有不少货运码头。芙蓉新城开发后，土地陆续被征用，村民转向第三产业。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
境内有天然岩洞赤水洞，被称作「小桂林」。[1]
