水西村是建瓯市瓯宁街道下辖的行政村，位于建溪河西侧，村名由此而来。村地处建瓯市政府所在城区的边缘，属城中村。[1]

人口与区域[edit]

全村有192户、535人，其中回族5人、畲族3人，共8位少数民族村民。村内两个村民小组，分别称莲花路与水西路。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

建制变动如下：1958年，此地为城关公社水西大队；1978年划给县良种场；1980年11月复归城关公社；1984年并入芝城镇；1997年后属瓯宁街道。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

莲花宫位于村内鹧鸪岭山上，山间土路铺有许多鹧鸪蛋大小的鹅卵石，山岭因此得名。道观原址在旧客车站后方，1999年因55米大道改造拆迁，迁到现址，占地约15亩，内设土主殿和杨公大帝殿。[2]
