桂林村是桂林乡的乡政府驻地，博雅地名网把它放在邵武市西北一带：北邻惠林村，西挨槎口村，南接横坑村，东侧与肖家坊相连。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初这里隶属儒林乡；1958年划归肖家坊公社，1961年分出另立桂林公社，1984年起改设村委会。[2]

村名的来历有两说：一说明朝时此地多植桂树，故名；另一说因乡政府设在此地而得名。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村域总面积28.7平方千米，人口密度为每平方千米82人（2011年末）。主峰殳山海拔1476米，为村域最高点。[2]

桂溪发源于殳山，流经盖洋、桂林、发积三个村民小组，经下黄街汇入金溪，全长20公里。[2]

据2011年所载，村中林地3.1万亩，其中毛竹山2.3万亩，森林覆盖率达95%。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地2306亩，全部为水浇地，粮食作物以水稻为主，主要经济作物有烟叶、蔬菜。[2]

文化[edit]

本村于2022年12月被福建省绿化委员会列为「2022年福建省森林村庄」，同年10月又经福建省农业农村厅认定，成为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

中国生态文化协会在2016年6月把「2016年度全国生态文化村」称号授予本村。[1]
